    Color tattoo in Madrid

Color tattoo in Madrid. Well, tattoos throughout history have been changing, from the most traditional we know, such as the American “tradi” or not to say that the oldest tattoo comes from Egypt, to the most modern or simple of all.

Color tattoos emerged in the United States with the “Tradi” style in which five basic colors were used to fill or outline the tattoo.

In this style we can find Coleman, Owen Jensen or even Norman Collins who everyone knows as Sailor Jerry, who in fact was one of the most influential, so much so that even had much to do with the evolution of Japanese tattooing.

The tattoo world has changed, and in the same way that tattoos are no longer only made in black and white, nor tattoos with only 5 basic colors, but now a tattoo can have an explosion of color. But what are the things to keep in mind?

Facts to take into account for a color tattoo

Tattoos are, in themselves, quite complex, since we are talking about the canvas being the client’s own skin.

It is a work of art, that’s for sure, but the more complex and the more color, the more painful; that’s why we have decided to make a list analyzing the pros and cons of tattoo color or B&W

    • Black and white pros and cons
      • They wear less over time, although they may always need to be reworked.
      • You don’t have to worry about your skin color because they look great on any skin tone.
      • Son menos dolorosas
    • Tatuaje de color, pros y contras
      • Son mucho más expresivos y llaman mucho más la atención
      • Skin tone can influence the choice of colors.
      • They are better for covering other tattoos
      • They are more expensive and also hurt a lot more.
      • Skin care must be good, especially when we sunbathe.

    Before getting a color tattoo

Keeping in mind what you want to do to yourself. For example, the size of the tattoo. The larger it is, the longer it will clearly take, and if it is in color it will also be much more expensive than a normal one.

Size can also influence that, the larger the more painful. And if that’s not a problem, skin tone might be, since the lighter the complexion, the more eye-catching it will be. But in this day and age, that’s not so much of a problem anymore.

If you still don’t know which style you like the most, we will guide you a little bit. We’ve put together a list of tattoo styles you might like.

Styles of color tattoos in Madrid that you could do yourself

    • OLD SCHOOL STYLE

You can see what style of color tattoo you like, and this one particularly is done with five basic colors, here Coleman, Sailor Jerry, among others stand out.

Traditional tattooing (Old School) that we all know or have seen, is based on a well outlined and drawn black line and with five basic shades (such as red, yellow, brown, green and little else) making the filler, which we all love, because it is sober, stylish and unparalleled. We can’t imagine any of them competing. But, everything has changed, even for the tattoo world; from the invention of the electric machine, to the most outstanding styles such as O’Reilly, Gus Wagner or the well-known Coleman. Each and every one of them contributed their ideas for the evolution and transformation of tattoos since then, to how we know them today. And clearly it can be perceived that there is not only the “tradi” style but there are many more, and now we will mention some of them.

    • TRADITIONAL JAPANESE OR NEO-JAPANESE STYLE

If you like masks, fish, devils, dragons, geishas… Japanese style is your style. The Japanese have greatly influenced the world of tattoos in recent decades. The colors and their mixture with the “irezumi” and realism, make this style very sophisticated, as they can also be very complex and quite detailed.

    • REALISTIC STYLE

Here, as the name suggests, we are dealing with a more realistic style, more elaborate and, therefore, with an impressive level of detail. Here, it depends a lot on the tattoo artist to be able to capture the essence of what you want to show. These tattoos are intended to show and faithfully reflect the photograph, portrait, drawing, landscape…

    • ORNAMENTAL STYLE

This type of tattoo is so called because it reproduces decorative elements such as mandalas from Arabic (henna) or Indian culture. With its myriad of stripes and straight lines, this style can be yours.

    • GOTHIC STYLE

More than a style, it is a movement or trend, based on the representation of cinematic horror themes, such as skulls, sinister castles, manga or fashion anime.

    • WATERCOLOR STYLE

This style is becoming more and more known, due to the technique it uses, since it mimics the artistic process by which a canvas is painted. Taking the brush and using only what you have to make the lights and shadows just like in the style Black and grey thus achieving the desired effect. So the color palette is very important in this style.

    • NEW SHOOL STYLE

This is a much more youthful style, which uses very bright and vivid colors. It was inspired by graffiti culture and so as not to be confused with other colorful styles, the same thick lines are maintained in the Old School outline.

    • NEOTRADITIONAL STYLE

It is the evolution of the traditional tattoo without becoming directly the New School, maintaining the characteristics of bright colors, but with the basics of the old school, such as black outline, but in this case, with broader themes when making a tattoo.

    • TRASH POLKA STYLE

They use only red and black in a style in which they mix brushstrokes of red ink with geometric shapes, ink-free areas, objects, and loose lines in which they try to harmonize order and disorder.
